CONCEPT PROJECTConcept project: self-initiated, not a client commission.

The brief

Homok means sand. It is an imagined roastery in the sandy country around Kecskemét that sells beans online and to local cafés. The founders have a good product and, in our brief, a logo from a generator, a template website and bags that look different in every colour.

The brief we set: make bag, site and Instagram feel like one company, and make sure the person who packs orders can keep it that way without us.

This brief is invented. The decisions are real, and so are the files.

The approach

A system before a logo.

We started with a palette of sand tones and a single dark roast colour, then chose a typeface that survives small sizes on a bag. The logo came third.

The site is built from the same tokens.

Colours, spacing and type on the website come straight from the identity file. Product pages show the roast level, origin and brew advice in the same layout as the bag, so the screen and the bag explain the coffee the same way.

Templates for whoever posts.

Campaign templates have locked layouts and clear slots, so a new release is a five-minute job for a non-designer.
