The short version

We collect only what we need to answer you, sell and deliver a service, and issue invoices. This website sets no advertising cookies. Analytics run only if you accept them. We do not sell personal data.

What we collect, why and on what legal basis

Project enquiries. When you use the enquiry form, the site opens your email app with a prepared message. We receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), company (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message, only when you press Send. We use them to reply and to discuss a possible project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). Retention: up to 12 months after our last contact if no project follows.

Orders. In checkout you give your name, email, phone, billing address, company name and tax or VAT number (optional), your project brief and your kickoff preference. This information stays in your browser until you send us the order email on the confirmation page. We use it to confirm your order, deliver the service, communicate with you and issue invoices. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). Retention: invoices and accounting records for 8 years, as the Hungarian Accounting Act requires; project communication and files for the duration of the project and 24 months afterward to handle revisions and claims.

Customer relationship. When you are a customer, we keep records of what we agreed and delivered. Legal basis: contract and our legitimate interest in managing the relationship (Article 6(1)(f)).

Website analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies and receives your IP address and technical data such as device, browser and pages viewed. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Without your consent, no analytics code is loaded and no request goes to Google. Data retention in Google Analytics is set to no more than 14 months.

Technical data. Our hosting provider’s servers record routine technical data such as IP address, date and time, and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

Who receives your data

• Our hosting provider (technical data).
• Our accountant and tax advisers, and tax authorities where the law requires (invoicing data).
• Our email provider (enquiries and order emails).
• Google Ireland Limited, if you accept analytics cookies. Google may transfer data to the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

We set only essential storage on your device unless you accept analytics. See the Cookie Policy for details and to change your choice.

How long we keep data

See section 3 for each purpose. When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymise the data.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased, where the law allows;
• restrict processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

To use a right, email support@highpeakdesigns.com. We answer within one month. We may ask you to prove who you are.

Complaints

You can complain to the Hungarian supervisory authority: Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), www.naih.hu. You may also go to the courts of Hungary or of the country where you live. We would like the chance to fix it first, so please write to us.

Security

We limit access to personal data to people who need it. The website uses HTTPS. Card details are not collected on this site.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top.
